Echline Community Woodland (ECW) was planted in 1992 by volunteers for the benefit of South Queensferry residents and visitors.
The trees and bushes are native species and we have added a butterfly garden and wildflowers. The woodland was one of the first Community Woodlands in Scotland and the only one in community council ownership. It is maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers.
As well as planting and woodland maintenance, we have regular litter and cleanup sessions. If you are interested in helping us maintain the wood, or just help keep it tidy, please contact us
